We have an exciting opportunity for a Controller at our Madison, WI office. As the Controller, you will be a valued partner and trusted advisor to the CFO and senior leadership. You will lead the Company’s financial and accounting operations and will be responsible for financial reporting and corporate compliance.
You, along with the Assistant Controller and Accounting Manager, will manage the day-to-day affairs of our Accounting department. Strong communication skills, learning agility, and a sense of urgency will be necessary, as you will provide support and guidance to various departments within Findorff. It will also be important to develop meaningful relationships with external partners including business professionals, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other accounting professionals in the industry.
Bachelor's degree or higher with a major in accounting, finance or business management from an accredited college or university
CPA and/or MBA is a plus
Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in accounting and finance preferably in the construction industry
At least five years of supervisory experience or experience that ensures the quality of work delivered by others; and
Knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial statements, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow, tax planning, and auditing
