We are seeking a Controller to join our growing industrial mechanical contracting company, working primarily in the power industry sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for taking a leadership role in financial decision-making and will provide financial input to senior management. The role is accountable for the administrative, financial and risk management operation of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning job costing, legal and banking.

Complete hands-on accounting requirements with support of administrative team. This includes timely and accurate preparation of payroll, month-end and year-end financial statements.
Maintain cash balances and forecast cash needs.
Oversee and analyze job cost reporting which would include preparation of month end Work in Process Schedule.
Oversee timely preparation of invoices to clients.
Establish and maintain financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems.
Management of the company's insurance program.
Prepare and send documentation to outside CPA firms to complete annual tax returns and independent review of financial statements.
BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Management, MBA and/or CPA highly desirable.
10 + years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of GAAP and Federal, State and Local laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
Experience with Sage 300 Accounting Software
Strong interpersonal skills ability to communicate and manage will at all levels of the organization
