Imperial Contracting is seeking a Corporate Controller to join our finance team.  Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, this new position will play a pivotal role in our growth initiatives and continued success.

The Corporate Controller will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, the closure of our books, ensuring compliance with financial accounting standards and company policies, and presenting comprehensive financial statements and forecasts.  This senior level position requires extensive experience in financial reporting and the construction industry, a proven track record of leadership, and comprehensive knowledge of accounting, information technology, risk management, human resources, banking, and surety.

•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
•    Professional certification as either a CPA or CCIFP, preferably both
•    Minimum 7 years in construction industry financial roles with a focus on leadership responsibilities
•    Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and best practices, including Topics 606 and 842
•    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial systems, and ERP software, preferably Sage 300 CRE and/or Acumatica
•    Possess foundational knowledge on various aspects of construction projects
•    Exceptional analytical skills and ability to identify and resolve accounting issues and challenges
•    Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely
•    Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
•    Public accounting, ERP implementation and acquisition experiences desirable
