Tews Company is currently assisting a client with a Senior Accountant opportunity.
Serving as a right-hand to the CFO, this individual will be responsible for assisting the Accounting Manager and CFO in all accounting functions to include monthly closings, bank and general ledger reconciliations, cost allocations, fixed assets, lease & debt tracking.
This individual must be able to work in a growing environment and possess strong analytical, time management and communication skills.
Perform Month End Close, Journal Entries
Maintain Fixed Asset ledger, depreciation and reconciliation
Lease and Debt Tracking
Job Cost, Cash Flow projections, Budgets
Work in Progress (WIP)
Ad-Hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data for reporting
Experience with Review of Financial Statements
Cash Management, bank compliance
Fundamental knowledge in account reconciliation
Proven knowledge of financial statement preparation
Well-founded grasp of financial analysis
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field required)
Two years of practical experience in construction
5+ years of accounting required
Fixed Asset and lease tracking
Previous experience with sales/use tax filings in numerous states
Strong organizational skill
Intermediate Excel skills strongly preferred.
