The Controller is responsible for managing all accounting processes as well as hiring and supervision of accounting personnel and serving the project teams in an effort to achieve accurate and timely fiscal reporting.
Perform all required accounting functions of the company in a timely and accurate manner
Be an integral part of selection and implementation of new accounting software; act as software administrator thereafter
Manage month-end financial statement close process including account reconciliations and financial statement consolidation
Act as primary resource for helping staff resolve questions and issues
Continually review internal processes to develop efficiencies
Manage accounting staff including AP, Payroll, Accounts Receivable
Work with external CPAs to prepare annual audited financials
Help develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and processes
Assist, coach and mentor staff in the successful completion of all duties, holding them responsible for compliance to all policies, procedures, processes, and standards
May be required to work outside of normal business hours, as dictated by business needs
Communicate regularly and effectively as appropriate
Maintain the standards, culture and values of CML Security
Other duties as assigned
10+ years accounting experience, construction accounting experience helpful
5+ years supervision experience
BA/BS degree in accounting required
